On May 8, Beijing, the last regional finals of Linde Cup China Forklift Skill Competition – North Region Finals was successfully held in Beijing Wu-Mart Group Logistics Center. Mr. Cui, Secretary General and Chairman of CFLP (China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing), Ms.Liu Dan, HR Director of Beijing Wu-Mart Logistics Center, Mr. Dean Xie, Sales Director of Linde (China) and nearly 10 Beijing media participated in this event.

After several months of city level competition in North Region, 26 winning teams made it into the region finals, including 4 women’s teams. All the contestants came from well known companies such as FAW, Nestle, BMW, Wu-Mart, Yili and Bombardier.

In the ceremony, Mr. Cui, Secretary General and Chairman of CFLP (China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing) said: "Our association fully supports this kind of event. As the industry leader, Linde (China) responded to the government call to promote the development of China logistics.”

“By holding such a competition, the skills and efficiency of the operators will get a progress, the logistics cost of customers will be reduced”, stated Mr. Xie, Sales Director of Linde (China), “Linde hopes to protect environment and city, which will make life more harmonious and beautiful.”

“Linde Cup has provided us a good platform for forklift truck driver besides of providing high quality product and comprehensive service.” says Ms.Liu, HR Director of Beijing Wu-Mart Logistics Center, “We’re so proud to cooperate with Linde (China) together to make great efforts for national retail industry.”

The competition included two programs of individual and team, which can both test the driver’s skill and cooperation capacity. In the individual competition, the players fully showed their speed, accuracy and stability, which also demonstrate the flexibility, accuracy and efficiency of Linde electric counterbalance forklift. The team competition is a greater need for team spirit, which can only be successfully finished with perfect cooperation of two players. Cheers and bursts of applause came from the audience for the excellent performance of the contestants and Linde forklift truck.

During the interview with Worker’s Daily, women team contestants from Beijing Benz-DaimlerChrysler said: “We’re very excited to be able to participate in Linde Cup North Region Finals. We’ll express our sincere thanks to Linde (China) for providing us such a good platform to compete with Men’s players at the same stage.”
