HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA) (http://www.mcfa.com), a leading provider of forklift trucks in the United States, Mexico, Canada and Latin America, was recently featured on 21st Century Business. Jeff Rufener, vice president of marketing at MCFA discussed the latest trends in the lift truck industry and the company’s manufacturing and distribution agreement with Jungheinrich in 2009.
“The world’s most mature economies are shifting very rapidly from being manufacturing-based to distribution-based, and this is largely due to population growth and density,” said Jeff Rufener. “Today, the United States is experiencing this shift and is in need of more warehousing products.”
To keep pace with the shift and offer its dealer network a full line of electric counterbalanced trucks as well as warehousing material handling equipment, MCFA entered a manufacturing and distribution agreement with Jungheinrich to serve as the exclusive distributor of Jungheinrich-branded warehouse products in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Jungheinrich AG has also established a design center located on MCFA’s campus in Houston, Texas, with new products in the pipeline for 2012.
“Our goal is to introduce Europe’s leading warehousing equipment provider to the North American market and to provide a broad product line for every function and environment, offered through one supplier,” said Rufener.
