Perkins Engines Company Limited has appointed BU Power Systems Italia as its official distributor for Italy from 1st March 2011.

Based in Como, Italy, BU Power Systems Italia will provide the Italian market with sales, service and distribution support for Perkins engines and parts.

BU Power Systems Italia is part of the BU Group which has acted as a Perkins distributor for Germany for more than 20 years and for Poland since 2008.

“I am delighted to be working with BU Power Systems Italia as we seek to improve the distribution network across the country and provide excellent service, to both our existing and new Stage IIIB customers," said Norbert Schuchert, Perkins' general manager for Central and Eastern Europe.

Giancarlo Meneghini, managing director for BU Power Systems Italia said the appointment represented an opportunity for the company to expand and support Perkins’ Italian customer base.
