On January 19, 2011, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd. held their 2011 annual sales meeting, on which Yuchai issued their brand trademark YC Diesel.
On the meeting, the superiors including Yan Ping, President of the Chairman Board of Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd. and Chairman of the Board of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., Li Tiansheng, Vice President of the Chairman Board of Yuchai Group and General Manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., and leaders such as Zhang Xiaoyu, Vice President of China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) and Ge Hui, Vice President of China Association for Quality (CAQ) attended the meeting and unclosed the curtain of the new trademark as a sign that the trademark would be officially used, which also showed that Yuchai would begin to write another page in their development history.
The Vice General Manager Wu Qiwei from Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. explained the connotation of the new trademark in details to all the attendees.
Taking the mission of meeting the demands of the customers by providing outstanding engine products with outstanding quality, Yuchai has always been actively built up a world famous brand so as to push forward the course of brand internationalization. During the eleventh five-year period, Yuchai enhanced the core competition force of their brand through technological innovation, cultural innovation and quality improvement, with the brand value increasing from RMB 4.682 Billion Yuan in 2006 to RMB 8.009 Billion Yuan in 2010. At the very beginning of the twelfth five-year, Yuchai hopes to use the new trademark on the basis of the experience in the past and endows abundant connotation to the trademark which loads the target of Yuchai to realize internationalization.
The new trademark of Yuchai uses red color to stand for passion and China, blue for technology and world. China red and world blue combining together expresses the internationalized strategies that Yuchai will root steadily on Chinese market to energetically expand the market and walk toward the world. As for the letters “YC”, C is like the moving track of earth when going around in the universe, which contains the developing momentum of Yuchai to go globalized; and Y vividly reflects the strategic target of Yuchai to forcefully pursue outstanding and excellence in terms of product quality. “YC” is not only the abbreviation of Yuchai in Chinese pinyin, but also the short form of Yulin•China, standing for the resolution of Yuchai to create a world famous brand on behalf of China.
The word “Diesel” represents the innovative spirits of Diesel who invented the first set of diesel engine, meaning that Yuchai will go forward to pass the passion and drive for the excellent by the eternal power like a diesel engine. In the six letters of “Diesel”, D stands for devote, I for international, E for environmental, S for science, E for excellent and L for leader, totally showing the operating concepts of Yuchai and their sustainable development strategy to be the leader of the engine market.
During the period of the twelfth five-year plan, the machinery industry will have more achievements. Yuchai will stand at the new starting point to launch more high-end products to the market. Relying on the professional manufacturing, Yuchai will continuously improve the internationalization of Yuchai brand to build Yuchai as the key exporting base of diesel engines made in China.
