On December 18, Shenzhen, the first regional finals of Linde Cup China Forklift Skill Competition – South Region Finals was successfully held in China Merchants Logistics. Mr. Xu, Secretary General of Shenzhen International Distribution Association, Ms.Wei, Deputy Secretary General of Guangdong Logistics Association, Mr. Yu, Vice President of China Merchants Logistics and Ms. Guan, Quality Management & Customer Service GM of China Merchants Logistics, Mr. SC Tee, Strategic Marketing Director of Linde (China) and 15 local media participated in this event.

After two months of city level competition in South Region, 27 winning teams made it into the region finals, including 5 women’s teams. All the contestants came from Guangdong well known companies such as Amway, Gree, Pepsi, York, JDB, Wal-Mart and Huawei.

In the opening ceremony, Mr. Xu, Secretary General of Shenzhen International Distribution Association said: "Our association fully supports this kind of event. As the industry leader, Linde (China) responded to the government call to promote the development of China logistics.”

“By holding such a competition, the skills and efficiency of the operators will get a progress, the logistics cost of customers will be reduced”, stated Mr. SC Tee, Strategic Marketing Director of Linde (China), “Linde hopes to protect environment and city, which will make life more harmonious and beautiful.”

The competition included two programs of individual and team, which can both test the driver’s skill and cooperation capacity. In the individual competition, the players fully showed their speed, accuracy and stability, which also demonstrate the flexibility, accuracy and efficiency of Linde electric counterbalance forklift. The team competition is a greater need for team spirit, which can only be successfully finished with perfect cooperation of two players. Cheers and bursts of applause came from the audience for the excellent performance of the contestants and Linde forklift truck.

During the interview with Nanfang TV station, women team contestants from Amway said: “We’re very excited to be able to participate in Linde Cup South Region Finals. We’ll express our sincere thanks to Linde (China) for providing us such a good platform to compete with Men’s players at the same stage.”
After 3 hours of intense competition, the winners who will qualify for the National Finals to be held in 2011 are as follows:
