On December 24, Linde Cup China Forklift Skill Competition Central Region Finals was successfully held in Linde (China) Xiamen factory. Mr. Chen, Party Secretary as well as Vice Chairman of Xiamen Labor Union, Mr.Zeng, Economic Affairs Minister of Xiamen Labor Union, Mr. Wu, Deputy Director of Xiamen Labor & Social Security Bureau, Mr. Xiang, GM of Xiamen International Airport Air Cargo Terminal Co.,Ltd., Mr. SC Tee, Strategic Marketing Director of Linde (China), Ms. Lai Hongmei, HR Director of Linde (China), Mr. Chen Xiaochun, GM of Linde (China) Central Region and the local media participated in this event.

After two months’ city level competition in Central Region, 19 winning teams made it into the regional finals, including 3 women’s teams. The contestants came from Sichuan, Chongqing, Hunan, Fuzhou and Xiamen, including Xiamen International Airport Air Cargo, Top Victory Electronics (Fujian), Fuyao, Gree (Chongqing), Chongqing Beer, Leshan Jixiang and Changsha Bosch.

In the opening ceremony, Mr. Chen, Party Secretary as well as Vice Chairman of Xiamen Labor Union said: "As the industry leader, Linde (China) followed the trend, responded to the government call to improving their own products, reduce production costs, increase productivity.”

“Workers are the base of an enterprise, and skill is the key to enterprise development. Linde Cup provided a good platform for line workers to improve their skills.” says Mr. Wu, Deputy Director of Xiamen Labor & Social Security Bureau.

With the Olympic spirit, the competition was held to improve the line worker’s operating skill and efficiency, reduce logistics cost for our customer”, stated Mr. Chen Xiaochun, General Manager of Linde (China) Central Region.

In addition to the benefit that we got from Linde products, which improved our production efficiency and reduce logistics costs, Linde also brings us advanced logistics management concept”. The competition included two programs of individual and team, which can both test the driver’s skill and cooperation capacity. In the individual competition, the contestants fully showed their speed, accuracy and stability, which also demonstrate the flexibility, accuracy and efficiency of Linde electric counterbalance forklift. The team competition is a greater need for team spirit, which can only be successfully finished with perfect cooperation of two contestants. Cheers and bursts of applause came from the audience for the excellent performance of the contestant and Linde forklift truck.

During the interview with Xiamen TV station, women team contestants from Chongqing Beer said: “We’re very excited to be able to participate in Linde Cup Central Region Finals. It’s a very good opportunity for all the contestants here.”
