The extensive presentation of products and services by Toyota Material Handling CZ was another convincing example of professional teamwork. Also making a mark was the creative technical solutions displayed in the presentation area, which together with the careful script and mix of work-related and non-work-related topics, contributed to the fact that Demo Days became a pleasant and informal gathering of people who usually come together more or less on the opposite side of negotiation tables.

Toyota Demo Days are becoming a household name as well as guaranteed time well spent among materials handling equipment and technology users. Due to massive interest, internet registration for TMHCZ’s Demo Days had to be stopped almost two weeks before the original deadline, and the good spirit inside the hall and the reactions from personal meetings confirmed that Toyota had again played its cards right.  This was also true for the expert and relaxation segment, this time based on testing Toyota passenger cars and SUVs, go-kart races and the added incentive of Japanese culture and culinary topics embellished with the masterful display of calligraphy. Everyone participating took with them a very untraditional gift in the form of unique personal calligraphy sheets, which in a Japanese environment has its own specific spiritual and emotional significance.

Toyota knows what it does and why it does it
The interest and immediate reaction of Demo Days participants demonstrate that Toyota brings smart technologies and services to the market, which contribute to the significant reduction in costs and handling, which is exactly what today's customer seeks and prefers.

"Last year, Demo Days focused on introducing what we have to offer, where the arrangement of the 1500 m2 spacious hall had a bit of an expo vibe to it with many various sections focusing on individual services and products, both our own and those of the invited partners. This year, we picked a few key topics, which we presented to our customers in the form of large format presentations or simulations of real operation. We concentrated more on the in-depth and detailed introduction of the respective issues and created space and a pleasant atmosphere for hundreds of friendly interviews." said Jana Bobysudová, marketing manager for Toyota Material Handling CZ.

The primary sources of activity was a series of four presentations focusing on achieving maximum quality (the famous Toyota Production System), on reducing costs thanks to safe machinery (testing the dynamic stability and exceptional results of the Toyota Tonero model), on the effectiveness of utilizing warehouse space (new generation of aisleless storage BT Radioshuttle) and on information regarding legislation (new standards for storage and shelves). We'll describe two of the topics in more detail.

SAS abilities confirmed
The diesel head forklift Toyota Tonero was easily successful in the test of dynamic stability, organized by the French test laboratory UTAC, also known in the automobile crash test field as EURO NCAP. Victory in this test clearly confirmed the functionality of the SAS system and its enormous contribution for safe manipulation and reduction of operation costs. The presentation included a film, demonstrating the primary motive of the test - monitoring the inner rear wheel, which was supposed to remain on the ground while driving through a hard turn at full throttle. Only the Toyota forklift remained on the ground at all times, the other forklifts lost contact with the ground repeatedly.

The successful BT Radioshuttle system introduces new functions and higher performance

While others bring the first version of their solution to the table, we offer our long-term experience.  We considered already the fourth generation of cutting edge technology for high-density aisleless storage BT Radioshuttle  We built a real shelf system in the warehouse and simulated actual operation of the new and old solution. The participants were especially impressed by the 30% higher speed of the new satellite chassis including other new functions increasing the comfort and productivity of the user - for example, the inventory function, increased safety for storing and better control of the shelf channel action.

Machines were crowded with interested individuals, vendors did not stop
The primary topics were accompanied with the traditional demonstrations and testing of the exposed machines. Several dozen machines were brought over this year. Not only novelties such as the robust Toyota Traigo HT 80V counterbalanced forklift with electric drive and traction, with a tonnage of 8,500 kg attracted attention, but also many other exceptional and unique forklifts from the most demanding model series - Toyota Traigo electric counterbalanced forklift, resistant manually controlled low-lifters and stackers BT Levio, BT Staxio, BT Orion, BT Ixion, as well as the reach truck BT Reflex with a tilting cab or heavy duty towing tractors. The participants could try the silent pallet truck, “scissor” pallet truck with an electric lifting mechanism or stacker with photocell and the automatic lift/drop function according to the configured load height.

Enthusiastic purchasers buy directly with the new e-shop.
Customers were able to purchase several smaller machines from the Minirange series directly on site within the scope of open auctions, with the winners getting good value for their money. Those who missed out on the auction do not need to worry, as they can purchase all of the Minirange series trucks from TMHCZ’s internet store. Along with the bargains on the e-shop, buyers can also register for a bonus card and obtain even better prizes. During the demo days, the e-shop offer was also demonstrated directly in the hall on touch screens.

Besides on-line offers on trucks, visitors could also look through the new website for the Service Market or rental services www.toyota-rent.cz. The Service Market now offers the Parts shop, which has been available on a parallel server for four years already, Toyota Rent recently launched a completely new reservation system.

Toyota again demonstrated it is capable of significantly distinguishing itself from the competition, even in the manner it communicates and attracts the interest of the customer. It continues to think up new procedures, simplifies access to information and understands its work very well. Each Toyota customer therefore receives the optimal solution for his material handling needs.
