The appointment of Steve Archer to the position of General Manager of Normet Canada Ltd. is announced today by Mike Rispin, Vice President - Americas for the Normet Group. Archer, holder of a Mining Engineering Technology Diploma and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management resides in Sudbury, ON and will be based at the Canadian headquarters there.

Archer joins the Normet Team from Atlas-Copco. Most recently the Product Line Manager - Canada for Rock Drilling Tools, he has also served that company in the capacities of Vice President Construction Tools, DTH Product Manager - Americas, Area Manager - Southeast US and in a variety of sales, sales marketing and sales management positions. He started his sales career with Cubex Limited.

“With a track record of sales and management success in his career, Archer brings close to 30 years of experience with and knowledge of the North American underground mining and tunneling industries and a passion for customer service” states Rispin.

“Normet Canada is having a very successful first year and is on a significant growth curve. We are very pleased to have Steve and his knowledge of equipment, parts and service on our team.”

Normet Canada offers the full line of Normet equipment, parts and service, and will soon be offering the TAM line of construction products for mining and tunneling.
