Perkins Stafford is giving eco-conscious students the chance to improve their school’s environment as its hosts its annual Eco Awards competition.
Now in its 15th year, the popular competition has attracted entries from primary schools across Stafford, with schools keen to highlight their innovative environmental activities.
The school entries, which were of a very high standard, have now been whittled down to three finalists: St. Leonards First Dunston, St. Johns Primary and Flashley Primary.
The winning school will receive £400 towards its project, while the runners-up will each be presented with £200 to support their environmental work.
Perkins is also recognising the achievements of four project award winners, each of which will receive £50.
On Thursday July 1, the finalists will present their environmental activities to a panel of Perkins judges, before being taken on a factory tour, and receiving their awards from Perkins Stafford general manager Richard Cotterell.
“Now in its 15th year the Perkins Annual Eco Award has recognised the environmental achievements of hundreds of local school children,” said Mr Cotterell.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the three presentations and learning more about the activities undertaken to support both their school environment and that of Stafford.”
