Barloworld Handling will be top of the menu for many visitors to the Food and Drink Logistics Show in March, as those involved in the food and drink supply chain search for materials handling solutions with an extra helping of intelligence.

"Visitors are looking for ways to get better performance and efficiency from their supply chain" explains Graham Jones, General Manager UK Sales for Barloworld Handling. "Barloworld will show some fresh and innovative handling solutions to help food and drink operations perform at their best".
Barloworld provides intelligent service for forklift truck fleets nationwide and is the UK distributor of Hyster equipment. On display on stand AA004 at the NEC, will be Hyster's new J1.6XN electric forklift, the most energy efficient truck of its type on the market. By combining the latest Hyster trucks, advanced battery technology and specialist service, Barloworld can help companies to significantly reduce their carbon footprint and the costs associated with operating electric trucks.

Also on show will be the P2.0S ride-on pallet truck, popular for lorry loading duties and vertical pallet handling in many food logistics operations. As a distributor for leading access equipment manufacturer JLG, Barloworld will also display the JLG MSP10 Order Picker which is ideal for shelf stock picking within retail and wholesale environments.
Barloworld works with major international brands in the food and drinks industry supporting intense operations through more than 1,000 staff and 500 engineers nationwide, and is keen to demonstrate the depth of its experience.

"The food and drinks industry requires specific solutions tailored to suit individual applications" continues Graham Jones. "Sometimes this means working with customers from the ground up to design a new warehouse, using Hyster's 3D warehouse simulation software for example. At Barloworld, not only do we have access to a full range of state-of-the-art equipment but also bespoke services, such as our fleet management system, designed to help food and drink companies get more performance, reliability and efficiency from their materials handling fleets".

Hyster trucks can be specified to exactly meet the needs of any food and drink application, for example, with raised operator cabs giving improved forward visibility, sealed electronics to prevent water ingress, cold store protection, ATEX protection, non marking tyres, specialist attachments and even short wheel base chassis for extra manoeuvrability within the confined areas of a warehouse or processing plant.

Specialists from Barloworld will be offering advice across its full portfolio of solutions at the show including its advanced Fleet Management system, Battery Management service, Planned Maintenance, Short term Hire, Driver Training and other intelligent services.
