Somerset based lifting specialist, Tecni-Lift, has invested in a new state-of-the-art, hydraulic test rig - Yale RPTS-2015D - to enable the newly established company to carry out proof load and destruction testing on its products and assemblies.

Tecni-Lift specialises in the online supply of quality lifting products including shackles, web slings, chains, winches, swivels and hoists. The new 20 tonne machine has been purchased from Yale - a leading provider of high quality lifting products - and is specifically designed for testing pul-lifts, lever hoists, wire rope assemblies, chain blocks and wire rope pullers.

The Yale RPTS-2015D features a 20 tonne hydraulic hollow ram cylinder with a threaded pulling bar. These allow gradual loading for precise testing. It also features a calibrated Tigrip 20 tonne load cell with a digital indicator for load measurement to the nearest kilogramme and this load cell can withstand destruction testing of the tested components.
