On 22 September 2009, Xiamen Mayor Mr. Liu Cigui, accompanied by delegation from the municipal government, visited Linde Material Handling Aschaffenburg headquarters. They were received by Linde CEO Mr. Theodor Maurer , Linde（China）CEO Mr. CP Quek and Linde sales director Mr. Christophe Lautray. The delegation also paid a visit to Ashaffenburg Mayor Mr. Klaus Herzog, and they were officially received at the Town Hall by Mr. Herzog.

During his business visit to Linde Material Handling headquarters, Mayor Liu told Mr. Maurer that he was impressed by rapid and healthy development of Linde (China). Also Mayor Liu welcomed and appreciated Linde’s commitment to the China market. Mayor Liu and Mr. Maurer also discussed potential development of Linde in Xiamen. Mr. Maurer said: “Linde will further invest to strengthen the commitment to the China market. For example, Linde is committed to develop more talents in the Xiamen R&D center. Linde is well-positioned for growth in the China market.”

In the Town Hall, Mayor Liu signed the visitor’s book of the Aschaffenburg township. Both

Mr. Herzog and Mayor Liu praised geographical advantages of the two cities. The mayors

showed great interests in entering into a sister-city arrangement between Xiamen and Aschaffenburg. Mayor Liu called the footprints of Linde Material Handling a connecting link. Both Mayors believe it will be a promoter for bidirectional communications and cooperation between two cities.
