Rocla has introduced its first ever towing truck. However, the design was not started from zero, since the new truck is based on the appearance and technical solutions used in the Rapid low level order picker. The design and high usability of Rapid trucks has been awarded with Fennia Prize and Red Dot design prizes this year.

All Rapid trucks feature the biggest operator platform in the market, which improves significantly the ergonomy and flow of picking. Driver can operate the multifunction m1 steering wheel in different ways. Its position and height can easily be adjusted to different drivers. Trucks can be tailored according to customer’s corporate image or product brands with optional design covers.

Rapid tow tractor is the one for pulling different kinds of trailers up to 3000 kg also in longer distances. Both ball and axle couplings in towing device enable towing of different trailers. The position of towing point can easily be adjusted.

Rocla's Intelligent Drive Assistant (IDA) improves the controllability and safety: it prevents the traction wheel locking during braking or slipping during the acceleration. IDA enables good controllability even on the slippery floors and increases the life-cycle of the traction wheel. The big support wheels with optional brakes bring stability into driving also in curves.

"We wanted to broaden the operating possibilities for our hit product. Both warehouse and towing trucks users find ergonomy, efficiency and usability important factors, so the expansion is natural", explains Maija Karhusaari, vice president of marketing and communications.

Rapid product family is designed in Finland and manufactured at Rocla’s factory in Järvenpää, Finland. More than 1500 tow tractors are being sold annually in Europe and the market is growing strongly.
