About the Welding Competition
In the competition to melt and join stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel materials using welding skills, contestants must complete 4 exercises within the competition time. Judging points include dimension accuracy and strength, the external appearance and shape of the accumulated metal known as the weld bead, and the presence of defects inside the weld bead. As the metal expands and contracts due to the heat of welding, the product can become skewed very easily, making it difficult to maintain accuracy. Therefore, contenders must master many technical abilities and skills, and must also have sound knowledge of metal materials.
