Jungheinrich (UK) Ltd has announced the appointment of Alan Kirk as Product Sales Manager – Racking. Alan, who is based at Jungheinrich's Milton Keynes head office, will be responsible for developing sales of Jungheinrich's range of racking, shelving and other storage products throughout the East of England.

With over 30 years experience in the materials handling industry, Alan originally trained as a design draftsman and for much of his career he has been based in the southern hemisphere. Indeed, he joins Jungheinrich having recently returned to the UK from Australia where he had held senior positions with a number of leading global racking manufacturers.

Alan commented: "I am delighted to be joining Jungheinrich. Although it's best known for its forklift trucks and other materials handling equipment, Jungheinrich has offered a full range of racking and storage systems as a core part of its product portfolio for over 20 years and I look forward to developing the brand further."

Married to Jayne, Alan lists Formula One among his hobbies.

From initial project design using the latest CAD technology to hand over, Jungheinrich supplies a complete range of racking systems and accessories, including adjustable pallet racking, drive-in and drive through systems, mobile, cantilever and high bay racking, pallet and carton live storage as well as long span and small parts shelving.
