Canadian-based Axium, Inc. (Booth 3247) has reinforced its comprehensive materials handling automation solutions with the introduction of the ROP300 and the ROP600, robotic order-picking solutions.
According to Frank Carzoli, Axium’s director of business development and sales and marketing, distribution center management is under constant pressure to improve the ergonomics of the workplace, while increasing productivity and reducing costs. Additionally, the need to get mixed pallets more quickly puts workers under an extreme limit of physical effort and stress. Robotics, coupled with intelligent software, can help achieve these goals and accomplish the task of successfully handling mixed pallets safely.
The ROP300 and ROP600 work non-stop. The ROP300 system is designed for pick-to-pallet and consists of a robot on a rail “walking” with the mixed pallet along a row of full goods pallets. The ROP600 is designed for pick-to-belt and consists of a robot picking cases from a conveyor and placing them on a pallet. Both operate quietly in difficult conditions where dust and noise could pose risk to workers and both improve the user’s technical and financial performance.
“Our message is not unique due to the economic funk,” Carzoli added. “It’s always been our goal to help customers save money through robotics and automating the process.”
