The new AUSA 2,500 kg articulated rotating dumpers, D250AHGA and D250AHG, have met with an outstanding response in the Central European and Scandinavian markets, from the moment they were launched last September. The machines offer a high degree of stability and safety, along with excellent maneuverability and the ability to work in difficult spaces. As an absolute novelty, the D 250 AHGA offers the possibility of a rotating hi-tip unloading system, significantly increasing productivity.

In response to its most demanding customers, AUSA has recently launched two new 2,500 kg articulated rotating dumpers, the D 250 AHGA and the D 250 AHG, which complete its already extensive line of dumpers. The product has been designed specially for the Central European and Scandinavian markets, where there is a strong demand for top of the line high performance machines. Josep Soler, Export Manager of AUSA, explains why this model has been so successful: “The dumpers have received an excellent response because professionals are able to appreciate the advantages of this model, for which there is a strong demand in sectors such as rental and leasing services”.

As a novelty, and for the first time in our country, the hopper of the D 250 AHGA dumper incorporates a scissors lift system that allows both frontal and lateral hi-tipping, a feature that puts it in a class of its own and makes loading and unloading a great deal easier in any kind of situation. The dumper is compatible with the equipment most widely used in these countries, where it is frequently used for renovation work in urban centers, especially in collaboration with trucks and mini-diggers that have small loader arms and encounter difficulties when unloading. For this reason, they require a dumper with a low hopper that, in addition to the performance and features of a conventional dumper, has the lifting and rotation capacity of the AUSA D 250 AHGA, which also offers a hopper capacity of 2,063 liters, unmatched by any machine in its class.

In the opinion of Mr. Soler: “With this new launching, AUSA offers additional products to companies in the rental business, allowing them to provide better service, bringing them closer to their customers and making it easier for them to meet their needs.”

AUSA D 250 AHGA, Stability Above All

According to Jonathan Fenoy, Project Manager of AUSA, “Due to its configuration and geometry, the D 250 AHGA dumper is the most stable machine on the market, under any working conditions”. He goes on to explain, “When it comes to design, safety comes first, both static and dynamic, with special attention given to defining the center of gravity, making it as low as possible”. Improved stability is obtained as a result of several factors. First of all, there is the highly compact scissors lift system, which occupies less space and therefore does not alter the center of gravity of the machine, as generally occurs with conventional systems. Stability has also been enhanced by increasing the width of the lift channel, compared to conventional dumpers, without reducing the rotation capacity. In addition, the dumper incorporates a rear counterweight comprised of a single-shell steel body that acts as a counterbalance, while also protecting the exterior structure. Lastly, the new dumper is equipped with a weight limit safety system for loads that exceed 2.5 tons, deactivating the lifting system in the event of a hopper overload and guaranteeing the stability of the machine under any circumstances. It offers easy and comfortable handling, by means of a joystick to control all operations, as well as an additional control lever for the lifting system.

Another noteworthy feature of the D 250 AHGA is its speed and power to overcome obstacles, with a capacity to negotiate grades of up to 70%. A compact machine with permanent 4X4, it is able to move over all sorts of terrain and to work in areas with complicated accessibility and limited mobility, even on the most difficult and rocky ground. “In short, in designing these dumpers, our goal was to create the best hi-tip dumper available, while maintaining all the virtues of conventional dumpers”, concludes Mr. Fenoy.

High performance in Equipment, Power and Engineering

It is the AUSA philosophy to always stay one step ahead in performance, with regard to equipment, power and mechanical engineering that distinguishes these new dumpers from the competition. The two 2,500 kg articulated rotating dumpers, AUSA D 250 AHGA and D 250 AHG, are equipped with 4-cylinder Kubota V2403 engines featuring high pressure hydrostatic transmissions and hydraulic-electric gear converters and can reach maximum speeds of 20 km/h.

They are distinguished by their unloading systems; hydraulic 180º rotating in the case of the D 250 AHG and hydraulic hi-tip rotating for the D 250 AHGA, with a maximum tip of 1,800 mm. The dumpers have exterior turning circles of 4,225 and 4,440 mm respectively and are equipped with sealed oil-immersed multidisc brakes.

These machines have been provided with the strictest safety measures, such as the ROPS folding rollover protection system, vandal-proof security system, seat belt and an audible reverse warning. Standard equipment also includes an ergonomic seat, rotating hideaway beacon and an optional set of officially approved lights.
