GREENE, N.Y. — The Raymond Corporation has named Alan M. Marder to the position of director of technology solutions. In this role, Marder is responsible for researching, developing, implementing and marketing emerging technologies that will benefit the material handling industry and for collaborating with Raymond dealers and engineers to foster new technological developments.

Marder has extensive senior leadership experience in wireless technology and business development. Prior to joining Raymond, he was most recently director of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) sales for a wireless asset management company. His previous experience includes leadership roles in technology companies that offered remote monitoring products for industrial vehicles and other devices.

“Alan has a demonstrated track record in supporting company growth through technological advances,” says Chuck Pascarelli, vice president, sales and marketing, for The Raymond Corporation. “His future contributions will support Raymond’s commitment to lead the material handling industry in products and services that provide real-time information and reporting capabilities for lift trucks.”

For the last 86 years, Raymond has been committed to leadership in innovation, technology, quality, reliability, performance and cost-efficient operation.

Raymond recently introduced iWarehouse™, a fleet management system that offers solutions for warehouse and distribution center managers by collecting and analyzing real-time lift truck data to maximize fleet productivity and reduce costs. Marder’s charge is to advance technologies developed by Raymond — such as iWarehouse — to benefit Raymond, its dealers and its customers.

Marder received a master’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla.
