Chinaforklift.com (www.chinaforklift.com , English Version: www.forkliftnet.com ) collected the manufacturing and sales details in Japan and China respectively through Japan Industrial Vehicle Association (JIVA) and Industrial Truck Institution of China Construction Machinery Association (CITA for short) from January to April, 2008. Hereafter are the contrast and predication to the two countries for reference.

It is shown by the following data that from Jan. to Apr., 2008, Japan totally manufactured 60695 sets of forklifts with a year-on-year increase of 11.45%, overseas exporting 30634 sets with a year-on-year increase of 13.25% and actual sales of forklifts reaching 27559 sets with a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. Comparing with this data during the same period, China totally manufactured 60922 sets of forklifts with a year-on-year increase of 49.6%, exporting 20382 sets with a year-on-year increase of 41.9%.

All the above means that China surpassed Japan in terms of forklift output for the first time in the period from Jan. to Apr. Moreover, the sales amount of forklift in China will continue to state in the advanced position after surpassing Japan last year. Although Japan still led the way on the aspect of forklift export, China is prospective to surpass Japan by the year 2010.

Chinaforklift.com (www.chinaforklift.com , English Version: www.forkliftnet.com ) estimated that China will manufacture nearly 200,000 sets of forklifts during the whole year, realizing export of about 80,000 sets and domestic sales amount of about 120,000 sets.
