Grasping the historic opportunity of Pan-North Economic Cooperation, Liugong actively carried out deep marketing to make Vietnam market to be the Star Market of Liugong in 2008. In the first quarter this year, Vietnam market had sold more than 200 sets of Liugong units, realizing a year-on-year increase of 300%, which had exceeded the sales of Liugong in this area in 2007.
Two years ago, Liugong relied on ZL series loaders to expand the market in Vietnam. With total 50 units, the add-value of products was quite low with little market influence. After researching and analyzing the regional market, Liugong Office in Vietnam walked out a marketing mode suitable for Vietnam market on the basis of management innovation. As for the management of distributors, based on the optimizing management scheme made out by International Marketing Department, Liugong eliminated two weaker distributors and increased another one with greater potential in the second half of 2007 through the evaluation of local distributors’ comprehensive ability, forming a good situation of three distributors complementing each other and developing together. On the aspect of customer management, Liugong oriented the customer clusters in the key fields such as quarry and engineering construction. Liugong continued to exert the advantages of ZL series loaders while promoted the CLG856 loaders with medium configuration to further expand the loader market. Taking CLG614 rollers as main forth, Liugong sold nearly 100 sets of road rollers in the first quarter, making Vietnam the largest market Liugong exported road rollers to; 20T and 22T excavators also occupied market shares from Japan and Korea. In terms of service and parts, the company had appointed one professional service staff to Vietnam market to exert the location and parts network advantages and offer strong guarantee for sales market.
Due to the appropriate market management and exact product orientation, Vietnam has become the new highlight among Liugong export markets. It is estimated that it will sell more than 600 units in 2008.
