Automation Provides Cost-Efficient Solution for Customer:
A major packaging manufacturer with a plant location in Denton, Texas wanted to establish an automated solution for on-demand roll (7,500 lbs.) pickup. After evaluating several alternatives, the manufacturer determined that an automatic laser guided vehicle (AGV) system was the best solution.
The system needed to take into account material handling consistency and safety as well as providing a return on investment in a short period. The supplier worked with the customer to develop a solution that met their required operational objectives.

Finished rolls were produced every seven minutes and needed to be moved between two buildings. The system was integrated with the existing building design and signaled to the doors so that they could be open and closed as necessary.
AGV System Utilizes the Latest Software for Total Solution:
The manufacturer benefited from the use of the supplier’s sftware, which is easily adaptable providing maximum flexibility in controlling the AGVs and making changes in the system as needed.
The result was a safer, more consistent, comprehensive solution that provided an almost immediate return on investment for the customer.
