Fortna®, the distribution experts®, announces the promotion of Marc Austin to group vice president, sales. Austin is an innovative supply chain strategist who helps companies transform their distribution operations into a competitive advantage. He has spent the last five years developing the South African market for Fortna, and building strong partnerships with some of continent’s best-known brands, such as Pick n Pay, PEP, Edcon, and Mr Price.
Moving forward, Austin will continue to support the development of the South African market and the broader EMEA region, with a strong focus on Europe. Austin’s promotion coincides with the opening of Fortna’s first European office in London, where companies are showing significant interest in Fortna’s unique business model of guaranteeing results on large distribution projects.
“Marc is a proven leader with a long track record of driving results with high-growth companies,” said Andrew Breckenridge, executive vice president. “We look forward to Marc’s continued leadership of Fortna’s expansion in the EMEA region.”
“It is exciting to be a part of Fortna’s growth and to get to work with the world’s largest brands to transform their distribution operations,” said Austin. “I look forward to applying our experience to the unique challenges of the European market.”
