UKWA appoint new Commercial Manager
转载 2016-01-19 09:59 UKWA Source:UKWAUKWA - the leading trade body for the supply chain and third party logistics industries - has announced the appointment of Shoaib Vakil as its new Commercial Manager.
Before joining UKWA Shoaib held various operational roles with a number of well-known third party logistics specialists and has experience in industries as diverse as publishing and construction.
Shoaib’s principal responsibility will be to develop and oversee the smooth running of UKWA’s numerous services to members.
UKWA’s services cover professional advice and guidance as well as a series of specialist Member Benefit Schemes specially negotiated by UKWA to enable its members to procure essential business support services easily and competitively.
Shoaib will also oversee UKWA’s new Training and Education programme which will be rolled out early in 2016.
“UKWA works closely with a number of business partners to provide members with a broad range of exclusive services that, we believe, will save 3PLs money and improve their operational efficiency,” says Shoaib.
“We are planning to introduce several new and exciting services that will only be available to UKWA members and which we are sure members will benefit greatly from in the months ahead,” Shoaib added.
UKWA CEO, Peter Ward, commented: “We are delighted to be able to add someone of Shoaib’s calibre to the UKWA team. Shoaib has outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and has proved throughout his career that he is able to work both on his own initiative and as part of a team.
