On Feb 26 2014, Xiwei Daxuecheng LNG filling station was opened in Guangzhou. Senior management of Xiwei，CEO Mr. Fulco Van Lede, VP Ms. Yan Li and Autogas GM Mr. Zhang Shiliang cut the tape to open the station. “As a leading energy supplier in China, the second auto LPG supplier in Guangzhou, SHV(China) obtain great supports from government in establishing its LNG business. SHV intends to set up more LNG filling station in the PRD and YRD in the near future. In addition, we're developping a business to supply LNG to industrial customers.”

Daxuecheng filling station will supply LNG, a clean energy to more than 200 buses after its opening. At present, SHV(China) has 9 LPG and 1 LNG filling stations in Guangzhou serving buses and taxis with clean energy.

More than 100 cities of 30 provinces and municipalities have promoted gas vehicles in an effort to provide cleaner transport alternatives than often used diesel. Currently, more than 1 millons cars are powered by gas. As vehicle fuel, LPG and LNG are becoming increasingly important mainly due to their low emission values and abundant supply. These characteristics make LPG and LNG into fuels which are attractive from both an economical as well as from an environmental perspective.
