Perkins :Putting the customer first in India
转载 2013-11-15 11:14 Perkins Source:PerkinsPerkins Engines Company Limited recently held its second Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Council in Mumbai to update its valued partners on its distribution plans for the India market and the progress of the upcoming manufacturing facility in Aurangabad.
The meeting was attended by many of Perkins senior management team including Richard Cotterell, managing director of Perkins India Private Limited; Adrian Crosby, director product development 4000 Series; Nigel Baseley, marketing director; Jasbir Gill, sales director, Asia Pacific; Matthew Rayson, product support manager Asia Pacific; Matthew Bradshaw, general manager India sales and Pankaj Jha, marketing manager, South Asia.
Perkins distributors Gmmco Power and Powerparts Private Limited were also in attendance, for the meeting with Perkins Indian customers and generator set manufacturers, Sterling, Supernova, Captiva, Ashok Leyland and Power Engineering.
“As we continue to move forward and deliver on our plans for India, we are working very closely with our OEM and distribution partners,” said Mr Cotterell. “Working alongside our partners, we are leveraging our global expertise in the electric power sector to offer our customers and their end users a competitive advantage.
“We are committed to the Indian market; to delivering the power solutions and configurations our customers need and to providing them with excellent aftermarket service for the 4000 Series, all of which will enable them to successfully grow their business.”
The Perkins India facility, located in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, will cover a total area of 120,000 square metres, and is currently under construction. It will manufacture the largest series of engines in the Perkins range, namely the 4000 Series which offers a variety of configurations from 6 to 16 cylinders.
“Our strategy for growth in India builds on the good work that we are already undertaking in partnership with our valued customers to provide a range of high quality engines, which deliver dependable and cost effective power solutions, backed by our aftermarket network,” said Mr Baseley. “Through regular meetings such as this OEM Council, we are working closely with our customers, sharing ideas and coming together to secure future opportunities in India, to help them grow their business and support their long-term export ambitions.”
