The BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Awards are a platform for the entire profession to celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence. For 2013, Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) has been nominated in the final stages for an award in the category of Project Excellence – Best business solution dependent on mobile technology, for the innovative Toyota I_Site platform.

The BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Awards focus on the contributions of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have made notable strides in the use or development of IT in the last 12 months. The awards are seen as a notable benchmark of outstanding performance throughout the UK IT industry. Last year, the awards helped raise £9,606 for charity.

TMHE’s Toyota I_Site is the intelligent forklift fleet management solution that helps customers improve in four major areas: cost, productivity, health and safety, and environment. With driver access control, driver licenses control, shock lockout, impact reduction, and pre-operational checks integrated into the Toyota I_Site, both driver and goods receive increased safety with optimised productivity.

The Toyota I_Site was developed to respond to the industry’s growing complexities, and TMHE is pleased to reach the final stages in the nomination process for a reward of this calibre in the industry.

David Clarke MBE, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Institute, says, “As the Chartered Institute for IT I’d like to congratulate this year’s finalists. They showcase not only the innovation and the professionalism of those working in IT, but also demonstrate the importance of IT in delivering business and social benefit.”
The Toyota I_Site solution allows access to your fleet from any location via an easily accessible web portal, and improves planning and accurate analysis of activity. The Toyota I_Site solution is built on Microsoft’s technology platform.

Per Adolfsson, Managing Director Sweden at Microsoft says, “Our customers’ success is our success.” and adds, “The nomination is great news for TMHE and for Microsoft. We are committed to our cooperation and will continue to bring new solutions and innovation to the material handling business.”

On Friday 27th September 2013, TMHE’s Anders Lundstedt, Head of IT Development and Roger Wahlström, Senior Developer for Toyota I_Site will attend a presentation and Q&A session with the judges.
