It is now official: The Hamburg based company STILL GmbH and the Turkish industrial truck dealer Arser İş Makineleri Servis ve Ticaret A.Ş. ('Arser') are operating in the Turkish market with immediate effect under the joint brand name of STILL ARSER. In taking a majority stake in the existing STILL dealership the Hamburg-based company STILL has based its activities in Turkey on a future-safe foundation and has reinforced its commitment to this important growth market. After careful consideration, the corresponding contract, which was already signed back in May 2013, has now been given the approval of the authorities responsible. This means that the transaction is now complete. STILL now holds 51 per cent and the Turkish Arkas Group 49 per cent of the STILL ARSER shares.

Bert-Jan Knoef, the chairman of the executive board of STILL GmbH, sees this majority stake as an important step in the international growth of the brand STILL. 'The decision to take a stake together with the Arkas Group in our previous exclusive dealership Arser is a further expression of the resolute growth strategy of STILL'.

Frank Schliesser, the CEO of STILL ARSER, will be assuming responsibility for STILL's business in Turkey from now on. He previously managed STILL's worldwide dealer activities. 'With its population of 74 million, Turkey is already an important hub for European trade with the Middle East. I am convinced that the market there will continue its positive trend in the future', is how Frank Schliesser describes the increasing importance of the Turkish market.

Lucien Arkas, the chairman of the Arkas Group, also sees a big advantage in this joint commitment: 'Growing with associates is an important part of Arkas's culture. The technological superiority and know-how of STILL together with the experience and strength of Arkas in the region will generate positive results. Beyond the borders of Turkey as well.'

Both partners place great emphasis on efficient and environmentally friendly quality products and fast local service—so the two corporate philosophies are in harmony. Through the contract that has now been concluded and the official formation of STILL ARSER, the foundation stone has now been laid to implement these advantages together.
