Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) took on an increased responsibility this year, joining the steering committee of the EU OSHA benchmark event. The European Commissioner for Employment and Social Affairs László Andor, as well as the Agency’s 87 official partners, participated in the event this year.
Members of TMHE, along with R.S. Components’ Global Head of Health and Safety, took this opportunity to host a workshop centred on the theme ‘The Health and Safety Culture of an Organization’; sharing real life examples of how health and safety is managed in the TMHE Factory in Mjölby, Sweden.
Speeches presented by the Commissioner and TMHE’s Director Sustainable Development, Tom Schalenbourg, stressed the necessity and importance of increased cross-sector collaboration and the relevance of continuing such events.
