STILL in the Czech Republic – 20 years of development to become a leading supplier of customized int
转载 2013-05-27 11:30 STILL Source:STILLThe Czech national subsidiary of STILL GmbH, Hamburg, celebrated its 20th anniversary together with more than 350 guests at its head office in Prague on Tuesday 14th May 2013. Branislav Timko has been head of the national subsidiary company since 1st January 2012.
STILL has been represented in the Czech Republic since 1991. The first steps were taken in the context of a sales agency by the Wagner company, a forklift truck manufacturer that was subsequently taken over by STILL. Its own national subsidiary was then founded in 1993. STILL employed ten staff in the Czech Republic at that time – today there are 143.
Undoubtedly 2000 was a decisive year for the Company. The market reached a watershed in connection with the upturn in the Czech economy, and sales of industrial trucks rose sharply. The Company’s own Sales and Service Centre in the Hostivař district of Prague, where 53 staff members were already employed, was opened in that year.
The Centre not only sells industrial trucks but also operates a training centre and has the industry’s biggest showroom with an area of 1,750 square metres, so STILL can always give customers live demonstrations of solution strategies. Branislav Timko, Managing Director of STILL Czech Republic, says “We have collaborated successfully with more than 2,000 large and small companies from all sectors of industry during our twenty years of existence.”
However, STILL does not limit itself to marketing industrial trucks. In the past decade the Company has developed from a traditional supplier of industrial trucks to one of the world’s leading suppliers of customized intralogistics solutions.
