This is Konecranes’ fifth RTG delivery to TCV. With this delivery complete, TCV will have 23 RTGs in total in its fleet. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the order, and the order was included in Konecranes’ first quarter results.
“Our cooperation with TCV Stevedoring Company started back in 2004 when the first Konecranes RTGs were ordered and delivered,” says Kim Salvén, Sales Director Europe. “This fifth order is proof of Konecranes’ total commitment to this customer, our ability to take true lifetime responsibility for our cranes, and our ability to manage delivery projects successfully. We are extremely happy about the relationship between TCV Stevedoring Company and Konecranes.”
This delivery will increase TCV’s RTG capacity to 23 RTGs. The delivery will take place in fourth quarter of 2013. The 16-wheel RTGs are equipped with Konecranes’ Active Load Control technology, diesel fuel saver technology, autosteering and Crane Management System, enabling safe and reliable operation. They have a lifting capacity of 50 tons, and can stack 1-over-5 containers high and 6-plus-truck lane wide.
