Genesis launches GXT shear range at bauma
转载 2013-04-19 11:06 KHL Source:KHLThe first day of bauma saw the launch of a new range of demolition shears from Genesis in the shape of the GXT Series, currently consisting of two models, the 5,360 kg (11,792 lb) GXT 555 and the 6,690 kg (14,718 lb) GXT 665.
Genesis told D&Ri that the range will grow in the future to cover a similar weight range as the current GXP range.
According to the company the new shears offer a number of key features. They are shorter than comparable GXP models, which moves the centre of gravity further back to allow the shear to be used on a smaller carrier.
In addition, the bolt on piercing tip of the shear is fully wear protected on the upper jaw to reduce the risk of damage and the need to build-ip.
The geometry of the jaw has itself been redesigned to allow more material into the back of the jaw where cutting power is at a maximum.
The dual guide blade length now matches the piercing tip length to enable the blades to be shimmed independently to accommodate piercing tip wear.
