Contact Attachments, based in Mid Wales, is providing the 'Towable Forklift Salt Spreader' and the 'Pedestrian Push along Salt Spreader', to ensure its diverse range of customers can cope with the cold snap expected in the forthcoming months.

Its Towable Forklift Salt Spreader can spread salt up to eight metres and can be connected to any vehicle with a ball hitch or towing pin connection, and has an adjustable height draw bar. As the spreader is mechanically driven using pneumatic tyres, rather than requiring an electrical or auxiliary connection, it is quick and easy to set up, and with a storage capacity of 190 litres, is perfectly suited for spreading on large surfaces such as car parks.

While the firm's Pedestrian Push Along Salt Spreader is ideal for gritting smaller areas such as pathways and access ways, and has capacity for 50kg of bagged salt, sand, or other free flowing material. The spreader has been designed with ergonomic handles, to ensure absolute ease of use, is fitted with deflector plates to control spread pattern, and comes with a durable rain cover to protect against moisture and spillage.
