Stellana has started the planned expansion of local polyurethane wheel production at its factory in Qingdao, China. This local production capability of high quality polyurethane wheels has been required by Stellana multinational OEM customers for long time . Driven by the increasing demand of efficient and environment-friendly indoor material handling, the market for electrical warehouse trucks has been under fast-growth during recent years. As a global wheels supplier to world’s material handling industry, this local production line will provide a perfect facility to better serve our OEM customers, both international and local Chinese material handling OE manufacturers, and further strengthen Stellana’s market position in this region .

The production line will be equipped with top modern polyurethane casting and full wheel testing equipments, all local-made products will meet Stellana’s global quality standard. Starting from CNC metal-processing, the facility will include the entire process of polyurethane wheel production, which will significantly increase our competitiveness in terms of flexible and cost-efficient production. The annual production output is designed to be 200,000 pcs, which, with essentially less investment, can be doubled in coming years. The production is planned to start in Q4,2012.

These investments in China gives Stellana a unique possibility to serve our customers globally with a wide range of wheels. Adding Polyurethane manufacturing capability to our Chinese factory is the last step to becoming a truly global partner to our OEM customers .
