转载 2011-12-07 10:45 logisticsmagazine Source:logisticsmagazineLencrow has now taken delivery of two new C500H 4wd Ausa rough terrain forklifts. These units are fitted with the new Full Grip selectable 4wd transmission.
Engaged with the push of button - located on the multi purpose joy stick - the Full Grip system is only used as required.
This system reduces tyre wear up to 50 per cent on hard surfaces and improves the maneuverability of the unit. The units are powered by a Kubota 63 kilowatt (kW) engine.
The C500H 4wd units are fitted with a fully enclosed Ausa-designed cabin, with little loss in visibility. The cabin comes with factory cooling and heating. The unit is also equipped with a suspension seat, offering the operator a safe and comfortable working environment.
The Ausa C500 is compact for all terrain, with dimensions: 2000mm wide and 3450mm long to the face of the tynes. Still, the rough terrain forklift is designed for off-road with 280mm of ground clearance and 18-19.5 tyres on the front and 10.0/75 -15.3 on the rear.
Ausa units come with full road lighting as well as an amber rotating beacon and reversing alarm.
Another OH&S point worth noting is that the unit complies with the braking system required in mine applications today with spring-apply brakes. In the event of the unit’s engine stopping, the brakes will come on.
Rod Jackson of Lencrow says: “The new model is a vast improvement on our previous units. The drive is smoother and the unit steering is more direct with better lock. The air conditioning works very well, cooling the cabin in minutes after we left it in the sun for two hours.”
