On October 28, CeMAT Asia 2011, an international logistics technology and transportation systems in Asia was successfully closed in Shanghai New International Expo Center. Meanwhile, International Power Transmission & Control Technique Exhibition Asia (PTC Asia 2011) was held simultaneously.

On October 25, Vice President of China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP) Cai Jin, Director of China Hydraulics Pneumatics & Seals Association Sha Baosen and Senior Vice President of Deutsche Messe AG Pei Xi delivered speeches on the opening ceremony, on which more than 400 guests attended, including the superiors such as the Honorary President of China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP) Lu Jiang, Vice Director of Bureau of Economic Operations Adjustment, National Development and Reform Commission Wang Huimin, Executive Vice President of China Society of Logistics (CSL) Dai Dingyi, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of China General Machine Components Industry Association Wang Changming, Director General of China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA) Lu Daming, Consul General of Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Shanghai Deniz Eke, Chief Executive Office of Fluid Mechanics Commission of German Engineering Federation (VDMA) Hartmut Rauen, the former President of Italy Fluid Power Association Giorgio Beretta, General Manager of Material Handling and Logistics Technology Committee of VDMA Peter Guenther, experts and scholars in the related industry, media and leaders from the Government and Associations. CeMAT Asia 2011 provided a convenient platform for the guests to communicate with each other on the development of logistics industry at home and abroad. 
 
CeMAT Asia 2011, relying on the strength and exhibition scale, was regarded to be the No.1 logistics exhibition in China and one of the most important and professional logistics exhibitions in Asia, which had great influences on promoting the development of material handling and transportation system industry. Since it was held for the first time in 2000, CeMAT Asia had been held successively for twelve time with increasing exhibition areas and professional visitors, fully proving that China had potential commercial opportunities in the logistics market.

The products showing at CeMAT Asia 2011 ranged from material handling technology systems, spare parts, warehouse technologies, workshop equipment, loading technologies, logistics control software, logistics service and packaging, of which were the latest technologies and solutions in logistics field and the related industry. There were totally 450 exhibitors and 60,000 professional visitors coming to CeMAT Asia, exhibiting their innovative products and technologies in the logistics field on the exhibition hall with an exhibiting area of 26,000 square meters. Simultaneously with the product exhibition, over 20 meetings and forums were also held for the applied industry, including Seminar for the Application of Key Fundamental Spare Parts in Track Traffic, 2011 Asia International Summit for Logistics Information, 2011 Annual Meeting for China Logistics Equipment Industry and 2011 Summit Forum for Application and Development of Logistics Technology Equipment. These meetings and forums were aiming at presenting the outstanding performances and features of the exhibited products to make the customers know more about the products in an all round way.

As an important part of CeMAT Asia, forklift exhibition zone attracted as much attentions as before. International giant manufacturers such as Kion, Crown and Vita-Wheel Forklift exhibited their products on their stands. Domestic famous forklift enterprises including Feeler, Goodsense, Ruyi, Maximal, UN, Kipor, Jingjiang Forklift, Dalong, Pioneer Logistics Equipment, Huahe, Demo and Hefei Banyitong attended the exhibition, showing their latest forklift equipment and technology. Shantui, entering the forklift industry in the recent time attended CeMAT Asia for the first time this year, and launched their new product on the site of the exhibition.

CeMAT Asia 2011 also attracted a large number of attachment manufacturers and forklift spare part manufacturers to the exhibition, including Niuli, Chuli, Shanye, Suzhou EKKO, Eoslift Equipment, Giant-Move, Cascade, Kaup, Bolzoni-Auramo, Ningbo Zhongtian, Weiguo, Puduan, Guangqing, Shenzhou Forklift Attachment, Goldentide Unikodi, Zibo Torch Energy, Aodi, Jiuyue, Manon Forklift Parts, Songyuan, Folangsi, Bennuo and Pengyuan, leaving the visitors more options to know more about the development of the industry.

It was notable that the marketing promotion and invitation of visitors before the CeMAT Asia 2011 were more diversified, reflecting the concerns and emphasis of the sponsors towards the quality of exhibitors. The visiting teams comprising of logistics enterprises from Korea, packaging enterprises from Taiwan and logistics enterprises from Japan as the oversea purchaser representatives took part in the exhibitions to conduct commercial negotiations and communications with the exhibitors.

According to the President of China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing He Liming, for a long time, CeMAT Asia had been playing the role of being four platforms, respectively the platform for the logistics enterprise to know the latest technologies in the logistics field, the platform for the logistics enterprises to purchase the logistics equipment and technology in demand, the platform for the logistics equipment technology enterprises at home and abroad to make more communications and the platform to the logistics enterprises to conduct further cooperation in the future. CeMAT Asia 2011 had started a new direction for the development of the industry, building up a new bridge for the logistics trades between China and the overseas market. 

In these four days, CeMAT Asia 2011 perfectly showed the innovation and development in the field of logistics industry, and it was expected to bring more contributions to the industry in the next year.
