On September 23, 2011, China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) held an activity under the theme "Let the Equipments Made in China Walk toward the World" in Beijing. More than 200 guests attended the activity, including the superiors from China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) and the related industries such as automobiles, petroleum and chemical machinery, air-conditioners, manufacturing industry, plastic machinery, agricultural machinery, general machinery, heavy-duty machinery and construction machinery, as well as the guests from the field of news media. During this activity, Shantui Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (Shantui) won the honorary title of China's Meritorious Equipment Enterprise in the Eleventh Five-Year Planning.

In recent years, Shantui carefully carried out the Scientific Outlook on Development to actively pursue the growth through forcefully pushing forward the transfer of developing methods and production structures. Persisting in the sustainable development, Shantui walked on the road of innovative industrialization and gained lots of breakthroughs on the aspects of market exploration, quality improvement, technological innovation and cultural construction. From 2003 till today, Shantui had kept the position as the largest bulldozer enterprise in domestic China, with annual production and sales amount up to ten thousands, successively keeping the advantage of No.1. Moreover, the production and sales amount of concrete machinery realized an increase of more than four times than before, while sales amount of loaders rose greatly and that of the road machinery doubled for successive three years, occupying the second largest marketing shares in China. In 2010, the operation revenue of Shantui reached RMB 13.399 billion Yuan, overseas revenue RMB 233 million Yuan and total profits and taxation RMB 1.492 billion Yuan.

As for marketing, Shantui took the construction of franchised stores as the foundation, the informational management as the core and the service promotion as the guarantee to spare no effort to build the marketing platform for diversified production. In terms of technological innovation, Shantui successfully accomplished the promotion of series of products including bulldozers, road rollers and concrete machinery, gaining technological outputs including more than 100 technological results and 50 patents. On the list of 2011 China's Top 500 Machinery Enterprises made by the famous magazine Fortune, the ranking of Shantui moved 55 slots from No. 284 in the passing year to 229 in 2011. In the global construction machinery industry, Shantui ranked to be No.24 and walked toward the world's market on behalf of construction machinery industry in China, contributing a lot to the development of the whole industry in China.

This activity was held by CMIF, co-sponsored by China Machinery & Electric Industry and MEINet.cn (http://www.mei.net.cn/), and was held since June this year. The related organizers firstly opened a column on the website and the magazines, promoting this activity in the main industry, districts and key enterprises and gaining great feedbacks during the four months. The enterprises wining the title of China's Meritorious Equipment Enterprise were from 22 provinces and cities in China, generally covering thirteen industries.

The list of China's Meritorious Equipment Enterprise had reflected that the winners were all those enterprises that held the spirit to contribute themselves to the construction of the country, that owned the ability to self-develop innovative products and self-owned brands, that built up scientific and sophisticated managing norms and operational mechanism and that were endowed with the enterprising spirit, developing perspectives and deep cultural sedimentation. These features were the essence passed down by generations of entrepreneurs and collected through decades of development of the enterprises, which were also the precious wealth that could initiate all the enterprises to construct a strong country based on heavy duty industry.    

After making conclusions to the past ten years’ development, the promotion activity selected some typical and successful experiences of operating factories for the enterprises in the related industry to learn from. Meanwhile, the activity also publicized the accomplishments of the industry and the practicing situation of the two plans, further enlarging the influences of machinery industry through the publicity of the Twelfth Five-year Planning on the industrial development as well as the recognition of excellent enterprises and model entrepreneurs as the main body of the market.
