Konecranes starts MTS business in Germany – acquires local MTS company
转载 2011-06-21 15:34 konecranes Source:konecranesIn June Konecranes acquired the assets of German machine tool service company Schneider Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH in Heilbronn, Baden-Würtenberg in south-west Germany. The company is specialized in maintenance services of machine tools in the engineering industry in western Germany. Schneider Werkzeugmaschinen’s net sales is approximately million 2 EUR and the company has 16 full time employees. The value of the acquisition is not disclosed.
Schneider Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH will be the base for Konecranes’ first MTS unit in Germany. “The geographical location and wide customer base of Schneider Werkzeugmaschinen is an excellent base for developing our MTS business in this region,” says Pekka Kujala, Vice President, MTS, Konecranes. “With Europe’s strongest industrial sector, Germany has a great market potential for our MTS business.”
Schneider Werkzeugmaschinen’s competencies cover both mechanical and electrical maintenance and control systems. A majority of the turnover comes from machine tool rebuilds and modernizations, but also service and parts form an important part of the business.
The acquired company will be consolidated into Konecranes’ books as of June 2011.
