Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction concluded a social contribution agreement with Changwon City of South Gyeongsang Province. The signing ceremony took place on May 23 in the company headquarters located in the city.

In compliance with the agreement, Doosan is going to be engaged in corporate social responsibility activities in four fields by providing economic support to underprivileged adolescents, creating jobs for unemployed youths, helping the local young study and backing up the city’s policy projects. The company is planning to offer community services by forming a volunteer group consisting of some 6,000 of its staff, too.

At the same time, it sets up sisterhood relationships with 60 children protection and six daycare centers in the city, offering 500 million won of annual grants, for the welfare of disadvantaged children and teenagers. The volunteer group mentioned above is laying various plans for assisting the beneficiaries.
