On Apr 23, Shanghai, Linde Cup China Forklift Skill Competition – East Region Finals was successfully held in Shanghai (Jiading) Anji Suchi Storage Company. Mr. Chen, Secretary General of Shanghai Trade Association of Warehouses and Storage, Mr.Wang, Director of Shanghai International Shipping Institute, Mr. Shen, General Manager of Anji Automobile Parts Logistics and leaders from Shanghai Tobacco Group, Mr. Chen Jingping, General Manager of Linde (China) East Region and some local media participated in this event.

After several months of city level competition in East Region, 20 winning teams made it into the region finals. All the contestants came from some well known companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Shanghai Tobacco and Owens Corning.

At the beginning of the competition, Mr. Chen Jingping, General Manager of Linde (China) East Region said:” This competition was held to improve the skill and efficiency of forklift truck operators, and help our users to achieve efficient logistics.”

Mr. Chen, Secretary General of Shanghai Storage Association said: "Our association fully supports this kind of event, and also actively dedicated to promoting the development of warehousing industry. As the industry leader, Linde (China) provided a good communication platform for this industry.”

The competition included two programs of individual and team, which can both test the driver’s skill and cooperation capacity. In the individual competition, the players fully showed their speed, accuracy and stability, which also demonstrate the flexibility, accuracy and efficiency of Linde electric counterbalance forklift. The team competition is a greater need for team spirit, which can only be successfully finished with perfect cooperation of two players. Cheers and bursts of applause came from the audience for the excellent performance of the contestants and Linde forklift truck.

After one day of intense competition, the winners who will qualify for the National Finals to be held in 2011 are as follows:
