Forklift operator injured at Oklahoma City Crosstown Expressway Construction Site
转载 2011-01-24 09:29 newsok Source:newsokA forklift operator was taken to a hospital about noon Friday after being injured when the equipment tipped over at a Crosstown Expressway construction site.
Brenda Perry, spokeswoman for the Oklahoma Transportation Department, said the forklift was moving bridge-building equipment near SW 7 and Robinson Avenue in Oklahoma City. Perry said the injured man is an employee of a Transportation Department contractor, Manhattan Road and Bridge of Tulsa.
Manhattan Road and Bridge Division Manager Rich Horrocks said the employee’s injuries were not life-threatening. He declined to release the employee’s name.
Lara O’Leary, spokeswoman for Emergency Medical Services Authority, said the worker was taken to the hospital shortly after noon in serious condition. She did not release the name of the injured worker.
The Interstate 40 Crosstown Expressway is being relocated to the south in a $650 million project. The work is expected to be complete by 2012. A boulevard will be built in place of the current I-40.
