COLUMBUS, Ind., Mar 03, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) today was recognized as one of the world's 100 best corporate citizens for 2010 by Corporate Responsibility in the magazine's annual rankings. It is the 10th time in 11 years Cummins has been named to the "100 best corporate citizens" list.
Cummins finished No. 11 on the magazine's list, which is compiled after an analysis of publicly available data on the companies included in the Russell 1000 Index of the world's largest public companies.
The list is based on more than 360 data points across seven categories: environment, climate change, human rights, philanthropy, employee relations, financial performance and governance. Cummins finished tied for first in the governance category and placed in the top 50 in six of seven categories.
