New Holland and Kobelco construction equipment are part of the rescue and recovery efforts currently underway in Haiti through its equipment dealer in the Dominican Republic. New Holland is also donating additional equipment to the United Nations for use in the recovery efforts.
“Our New Holland and Kobelco dealers have historically been close to our local communities, providing products to help people when needed. ” said Jim McCullough, president and CEO, CNH Construction Equipment. “We are proud that our New Holland/Kobelco dealer in the Dominican Republic, EDOM – Empresas Dominicanas C.A., was able to offer about 10 products within the first 24 hours after the earthquake. And we are committed to continue this support to Haiti.”
He said that rapid response is important in rescue and recovery efforts, but he pointed out that recovery work always goes on long after the media leave. “The New Holland and Kobelco construction brands will continue to provide whatever support makes sense in the coming weeks,” he said.
