Nichiyu: Forklift Maker Defies Industry Slump
转载 2009-07-17 10:17 Tandlnews Source:TandlnewsDespite the Australian forklift industry contracting by over 25% in FY08/09, Nichiyu Forklifts claims to have defied the trend, increasing new forklift sales by 80%.
A key contributor to Nichiyu’s strong performance is its expanded sales and service network, which now numbers 20+ outlets throughout Australia.
“We wanted to provide forklift users at both ends of the scale with better access to our sales, rental and service resources,” said Nichiyu’s general manager, John Ackland.
“We have set up authorised reseller agreements with key national forklift distributors including Adapt-a-Lift, Rentcorp and United Equipment, while for customers who value the personal service and lower cost structure that local, independent forklift sales and service operators provide, we have introduced the Nichiyu Premium Dealer Network,” he said.
“The big challenge will be to maintain this year’s growth in what could well be even tougher trading conditions for the industry over the next 12 months,” he said.
