With the excited count backwards of the whole staff, applause burst out in Hunan Interntional Convention & Exhibition Center, where Changsha Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zoomlion") held its 2008 Commendation Meeting & Awarding Ceremony for Star of Zoomlion on Jan., 20th. Leaders of Zoomlion, more than 3000 staff representatives from China and Italy and purposely-invited guests attended the ceremony, where the outstanding achievements in 2008 were concluded and the bright plan for 2009 was prospected. Moreover, a list of units and individuals were awarded the honorable titles of Advanced Unit, High-Quality Leadership, Excellent Groups, Star of Zoomlion, Outstanding Contribution Award and Excellent Staff.

With the dance Flying to Spring, the meeting began with the theme of Unite·Change in 2008 and eight sub-thematic modules as Gather Energy for Stronger, Speeding-up Zoomlion, Ideal Unite, Sincerity Makes Success, Honorable Transformation, Mark the Dream, 2009—Thinking Builds the Future and Appreciation & Blessing. The meeting reviewed the outstanding achievements Zoomlion accomplished under the principal of Reform, Innovation, Smooth Process, Unit Breakthrough and Total Improvement in an all around way, calling for the staff to face with the changing global economic environment to stick to the spirits of opening the thoughts and forging forward in an adverse situation.

Looking backward, in 2008, as Zoomlion deepened reconstructing processes and new management concept was gradually received by the staff, the whole company presented its potential energy and gained stable development. The total operational income created another new record and Zoomlion was on the way to make more efficient adjustment to the management so as to optimize the process, clarify the responsibilities, improve the efficiency and produce profits.

Besides, in 2008, 5 enterprises such as Shaanxi Xinhuanggong, Huatai Heavy Industry, Hunan Auto Axle Factory, CIFA and Changde Xincheng Hydraulic Pieces Co., Ltd. from different places with different cultural background joined in Zoomlion family, supplementing the product chain and fastening the internationalization pace of Zoomlion.

During the reconstruction work after Snow Disaster and 5·12 Earthquake, Zoomlion donated money and materials to actively fulfill the social responsibilities of the enterprise.

Zoomlion kept developing forward on the way to be stronger to make more contribution to the nation. 

On the awarding ceremony, Engineering Crane Co., Ltd. and Construction Hoisting Machinery Co., Ltd. were awarded High-Quality Leadership; 6 units including Sustainable Improvement Department gained the title of Advanced Units; 10 units such as Shanghai Branch Chassis Workshop were awarded Excellent Groups while 10 people were elected to be Star of Zoomlion and another four people including Senior President Wang Chunyang got Outstanding Contribution Award.

Chairman of the Board of Zoomlion Zhan Chunxin made a TV address under the theme of Crisis, Innovation and Deligence to call for the staff to grasp the opportunities in the coming year in order to realize more leap-forwards development. On the meeting, Mr. Zhan led the senior managers and operational supervisors of all levels to show their great thanks in terms of the achievements in 2008 to the shareholders, customers, the whole staff and dealers.

On the meeting, the PK Rock & Roll Show and excellent performances from branches and affiliated departments shined gloriously. With the dance Best FutureI, Zoomlion 2008 Commendation Meeting & Awarding Ceremony was closed with cheerful applause.

The ceremony was broadcasted lively to the staff, customers and friends from all walks of life around the world through Internet.
