轻工业化学电源研究所（原轻工业部化学电源研究所），1999年并入江南大学（由原无锡轻工业大学等高校组建而成）, 地处素有“人间天堂”美誉之称的江苏苏州市。拥有一支从事化学电源及相关设备、材料研究开发及检测的科技队伍和国内先进的专用研究、检测设备。所内设有原电池、铅酸蓄电池、新型蓄电池、电化学工程、自动化和机械设备等研究开发中心和应用化学硕士点；建立了中国电池材料和设备网（http://www.cbme.com.cn）；合作投资了中美合资苏州神华电池科技实业有限公司、苏州赛恩斯电源有限公司和苏州华源实业有限公司等生产企业；主要从事化学电源新技术和新产品的研究、开发和经营。国家轻工业电池质量监督检测中心、全国原电池标准化技术委员会秘书处、国际电工委员会第35技术委员会（IEC/TC35）国内归口单位、全国军用电池标准化轻工归口单位、中国电池工业协会会刊《电池工业》杂志社和中国电池工业网（http://www.chnbia.com）等均设在所内。是中国电池工业协会副理事长单位和“江苏省科技咨询信誉企业”。我所积极注重科技开发，目前承担科技部技术开发专项资金项目两项；近两年来申请、获得国家专利六项；研制和开发的电池生产新工艺、新产品，多次获省、部科技进步奖，在电池行业得到大量推广和应用，产品并远销香港、东南亚等国家和地区，深受广大客户欢迎和好评。我所将坚持以人为本、诚实守信、优质高效的原则；秉承为电池行业服务一切，一切为电池行业服务的宗旨。加强科技创新，努力把化电所建设成技术型、服务型、产学研贸为一体的在行业领域有较高影响的科研院所。

China Light Industry Institute of Electrochemical Power Sources
A Brief Introduction
Formerly named Institute of Electrochemical Power Sources of Light Industry Ministry, China Light Industry Institute of Electrochemical Power Sources was merged in 1999 into Southern Yangtze University (mainly composed of Wuxi University of Light Industry and other colleges). Based in Suzhou, a city long since reputed as the "Paradise on Earth", the institute is well equipped with advanced research facilities and special devices for detecting primary & secondary batteries and materials. More importantly, it boasts of an enterprising staff of researchers and experts on electrochemical power sources, materials, and detecting.
In this institute there are a number of research & development centers for primary battery, lead-acid rechargeable battery, miniature rechargeable battery, automation and machinery. Besides, we are entitled to confer MS on applied chemistry and we have launched Chinese battery materials and equipments website (http://www.cbme.com.cn). Furthermore, we have co-invested in Sino-U.S.A Suzhou Sunwise Battery Co. Ltd, Suzhou CNS Power Source Company and Suzhou Huanyuan Industry Company, which enhance greatly the exploitation, production and marketing of electrochemical power sources products and technology.
There are some other specialized organizations in this institute: The Battery Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of Light Industry of China, the Secretariat of National Standardization Committee of China for Primary Battery, the IEC/TC 35 designated domestic unit, the designated unit geared to standardization of China for military batteries, the Journal Chinese Battery Industry and the Website (http://www.chnbia.com) of Chinese Battery Industry Association. As the vice chairman of councilors of Chinese Battery Industry Association, we are awarded the honor---- “Jiangsu Scientific Consultation Reputation Enterprise”.
We specialize in standardization, information, consulting service, battery and its material research and their products’ quality supervision and inspection.
Always attaching great importance to scientific research and technology development, we have made remarkable achievements recently. Now we are undertaking two projects, supported by the special technology funds from Ministry of Science and Technology. We’ve already obtained six national patents and have won a series of honors and prizes for our new products and new technology from the State and Jiangsu province. Our new battery technology has been favorably accepted and widely employed in Chinese battery industry. Meanwhile our own battery products sell well home and abroad.
Giving priority to human resources, keeping to honest promises, achieving top quality and high efficiency are our guiding principles. We will stick to the motto: To serve Chinese battery industry heart and soul.
