The company started out in 1921 as an one-man business near the Waddenzee in the north of the Netherlands. As was the case with a lot of companies in the north, the focus was very much on the local agriculture. As a result the company developed into a contracting firm and a bulldozer rental company which carried out repairs and developed and constructed new machines and machine parts. Later on, the activities were expanded to include the development and construction specialized customer-specific machines. In 1980, all bulldozer activities were halted and from then on the company focused on machine building. The knowledge and experience acquired in machine building led to the development of two new main activities: sheet metal processing and the production of fork-lift truck attachments. Since November 2000 MSE took over the sales and marketing from KOOI BV. Now MSE is responsible for the telescopic forks business and delivers the telescopic forks without any relations to all kind of branches in the material handling industrie.
