1994 Gear Plant, Rubber Plant, Jen-Wu Machinery Plant, I-Lan Machinery Plant, Automation Department and Cogeneration Department were awarded "ISO 9001", and Rubber Plant "ISO 9002".
1995 Founded Mai-Liao Machinery Plant and Boiler Plant to manufacture petrochemical process equipment and boilers.
1997 Licensed by ABB/CE (now ALSTOM Power) for manufacturing utility boilers.
1998 Licensed by ABB/CE for Circulated Fluidized Bed boilers.
2000 Technical association with ROBO TECH (Austria) for curve-driving SRM and DANAHER MOTION (NDC) (Sweden) for Laser Position Control.
2001 I-Lan Machinery Plant was merged into Mai-Liao Machinery Plant.
2001 Established Formosa Heavy Industries Corporation (Guangzhou) Limited; Started business for industrial rubber rolls and hot grinding for metal rolls.
2002 Mai-Liao Machinery Plant was awarded SQL certificate by the Chinese Safety and Quality Bureau.
2002 Established Formosa Heavy Industries Corporation (Ningbo) Limited in Mainland China.
2003 Finished commissioning No. l Unit of Hwa Ya Co-generation Corporation.
2003 Investment of the 50MW co-generation plant of Asia Power Energy Corporation in the Philippines; started construction work at site.
