The forklift manufacturer Semax Material Handling AB, based in Sweden, is in a very exciting and expansive phase. "We are ready to grow globally and are currently looking for more collaboration partners around Europe," says Tobias Ingemarsson, CEO.
Since the mid 80's, Semax has developed and designed forklifts with the latest technology for the steel and paper industry, as well as other industries moving fragile goods. In 2019, Swedish investors bought the company with the ambition of making it grow over time, and the past year a lot of energy was invested in modularising the truck models.
"This helps us become more competitive in our segment from 6 - 25 tonnes. We have also added new technologies to improve the experience for our customers," says Tobias Ingemarsson, CEO.
All forklifts are built in Sweden using a unique construction. They are designed to work efficiently and fast even in small areas, and the built-in extension provides an unbeatable reach. It also creates new opportunities in the material handling process. This system enables more precise handling with reduced damage to goods as a result. The possibility of loading/unloading trucks and train wagons from one side with forks, or other suitable aggregates, is what makes Semax's solution unique.
The keywords for Semax are safety and sustainability, and one particularly important area of focus is visibility. The mast is located behind the cabin, which improves driver safety.
"In addition, we have recently implemented new digital mirrors to improve the visibility in all directions. This makes the work safer and more efficient," says Tobias Ingemarsson.
Total availability during maintenance work
With Semax's new system, where the cabin follows the mast up when servicing the machine, total accessibility is created. All parts in the engine compartment are easily accessible and this makes it easier for customers and service technicians during major service jobs. Time is money and this way the time spent on service jobs is minimized.
Advantages: Easy access from all directions. Safe system with both hydraulic and mechanical clamping
International venture
Right now, Semax is in an expansive phase, and the company is ready to reach new international markets. "We are currently looking for collaboration partners who value safety and sustainability. We are at the forefront of electric forklifts and all our models are available with electric drive or Stage V combustion engines", Tobias Ingemarsson says.
