Recently, the POSCO delegation came to visit the Konecranes Lift Trucks Lingang Factory.
Founded in 1968, POSCO produces all kinds of advanced steel products, including hot rolled coils, steel plates, steel bars, cold rolled steel plates, conductive steel sheets and stainless steel products. It has been rated by the American investment bank Morgan Stanley as “the most competitive steel-maker in the world”. It is one of the world's largest steel manufacturers and supplies more than 26 million tons of steel products to over 60 countries worldwide each year. POSCO has 13 subsidiaries domestically and a total of 34 steel plants, raw material processing factories and sales companies in 10 other countries and regions, including China, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, the United States, Venezuela, Brazil, Canada, Australia, and Turkey.
Niklas Ruud and Urban Linder, Konecranes General Manager and quality expert of Lift Trucks respectively, warmly welcomed the visit of the POSCO staff and led them to the production workshop, test site, warehouse and other places. The delegation representatives viewed the plant environment, production process, management system and other things relevant to the production of forklift trucks, and exchanged their ideas with Konecranes staff to further deepen the cooperation between Konecranes and POSCO.
Under the careful guidance of a test engineer, the delegation representatives conducted a test drive on a Konecranes SMV 25-1200 C forklift truck, which won unanimous praise from the representatives thanks to the outstanding visibility from the cabin, its comfort, and the intelligent electronic control system (EMC). Also, the customers expressed great expectations for the continuing cooperation.
