Germany 8, the most comprehensive exhibition of German contemporary art to be held in eight major art museums across China’s capital city - Beijing from September till October 2017. As sponsors, the KION Group have helped to bring this project to fruition.

Around 320 art works by 55 artists are being displayed. The aim of the exhibition is to give the Chinese public a representative insight into contemporary German art since the 1950s and an opportunity to experience Germany and its cultural diversity through the prism of art.

On September 18, KION Group’s brand company Linde (China) held a customer event in the CAFA Museum, one of the eight host museums for the exhibition. Linde nationwide key customers, industrial experts and medias came together to enjoy all the many artworks on a guided tour and participate in the ‘Linde Coffee Salon’.

During this event, Linde brought two units of an old 1960’s classic truck and a new-generation electric forklift truck with shape of Porsche Design to CAFA. Linde guests all are interested in and get their photos taken together.  Experts in industrial design will share their expertise in how to combine art and design with industrial engineering and processes, while customer representatives will be talking about their experiences in building state-of-the-art ‘smart’ factories. Ching Pong Quek, President of KION Asia-Pacific and a KION Executive Board member, explains that the company is embracing a unique opportunity to involve its customers in this cultural exchange by presenting the Linde Salon at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) Museum. He added that, during its 24 years in China, Linde had also benefited from both cultures and the interplay between them.
